How long does it take to complete a level?2026-02-12T07:39:01-05:00

After Water Babies, each LEVEL requires 10 skills to be mastered to progress to the next level. SJAC Swim School only has 6 levels, so it is very normal for swimmers to repeat a level multiple times; especially very young swimmers.  It’s important that parents have patience in allowing their child to progress at their own pace.

How does my swimmer know if he/she is ready for a team?2026-02-12T07:38:38-05:00

From a scheduled evaluation, after completing level 5 lessons, they’d be eligible for Junior or FitTech teams, or when participating on the Junior Team, a coach recommends them for the SJAC Swim Team.

Can you do more than 1 lesson per week?2026-02-12T07:38:15-05:00

Yes.

  • The standard lesson package for Fall, Winter and Spring sessions includes 1 lesson per week at the same day/time. However, you can purchase additional weekly packages so your swimmer can come multiple times a week and you’ll receive a 5% discount.
  • Accelerated lessons are only offered in the Summer and allows swimmers to complete a full session in 2 weeks instead of 7-8 weeks. The cost is the same as a standard lesson package.
Do I need a membership to participate in SJAC Swim School programming?2026-02-12T07:37:42-05:00
